About Us
Hello Lovely! I’m Amy.
Mum, teacher, counsellor, self-care advocate. Lover of fish tacos, margaritas and helping women refill their cup.
Caitlin Louise Collection is dedicated to helping driven, loving, tired women (sound familiar?) prioritise their wellbeing and self-care.
Coming from a career where burnout is one of the most common problems, there is always an emphasis on the importance of self-care and “filling your cup”.
The problem? No one has time for it.
The solution? Self-care candles that instantly nurture your self-care routine through the power of scent.
Like you, I am surrounded by the most amazing females
Career women, mothers, business owners, teachers, carers. All busy, ambitious, hardworking, passionate, tired, stressed women with no time to take care of themselves.
Not a day goes by where I don’t see posts in social media groups about women burning out, feeling fed up, overworked on the verge of a breakdown.
Driven to further secondary study to become a counsellor and coach, I researched the scientific evidence of self-care and its impact on our lives.
It became clear – more than ever – how vital it is that we look after ourselves emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
CLC was born out of a desire to support you towards greater self-care, self-love and self-worth
Candle making started as a shared creative outlet with my two daughters. It quickly turned into a passion and love for scent, developing into the self-care brand you know today.
As we chattered about fragrance while endlessly pouring, testing and using candles, I started to think about all the ways that scents and candles could help those around me. To serve as gentle reminders to pause and nurture yourself to create moments of joy throughout your day.
I went into a deep dive study of the power of scent and started testing the theories to see how ambience and vibe could be changed. Burning the right scents at the right times, or burning a scent that was connected to a memory, influenced my moods and the way my whole family felt.
Self-care is imperative for positive mental health
When your own needs keep getting bumped down the list in the busyness of life, you become stressed, exhausted and burnt out.
I was a woman who was always too busy and I felt guilty for putting myself first. I was running on empty and disconnected from myself trying to keep up with the demands of life.
I’ve learnt that everyone else around me is better when I take care of myself too.
When we prioritise our own wellbeing, we have more energy,
joy and capacity to show up for the people and causes we care about.
That is my hope for you. That you give yourself and your loved ones the nourishment you need to give you that extra spark in your step. Every day.
